Login methods and linking

You can log in to (and sign up for) thamit with the following. Every feature works the same regardless of which one you use.

  • Google
  • Discord
  • X … Only X accounts with a registered email address can be used.
  • Apple (Sign in with Apple) … Only in the iPhone app. It does not appear on the login screen of the web version (browser).

From "Login methods" under "Personal preferences" in the Settings tab, you can add (link) another login method to your current account.

  • Once linked, you can still get into thamit with another method even if one account becomes unavailable.
  • The email addresses do not need to match to link.
  • If you have only one login method, you can't remove it (you would no longer be able to log in).

Notes on Sign in with Apple

If you already signed up another way

If you choose to hide your email when using Sign in with Apple, thamit receives a forwarding address, so it won't connect to your existing account automatically. A separate new account is created.

If you already signed up with Google, Discord or X, log in that way first, then link Apple from "Login methods".

If you signed up with Apple and want to use a computer (web version)

The web version has no Apple login. Link Google, Discord or X from "Login methods" in the iPhone app, and use that method to log in on your computer.

Removing Apple or deleting your account

  • If you remove Apple or delete your account in the iPhone app, the link on the Apple side (your Sign in with Apple record) is also removed automatically. An Apple confirmation appears along the way.
  • If you do it on the web, the record on the Apple side remains. You can remove thamit in the Passwords app on your iPhone, or at account.apple.com → "Sign-In and Security" → "Sign in with Apple".
