Protect your page with a password

With password protection, only people who know the password can view your public page. It's for when you want to hand out your URL but keep the page itself to your circle.

What a protected page looks like

  • Opening the page shows a password prompt instead of the content.
  • Only people who enter the correct password can see the page.
  • While protected, your page won't appear in search engines, and it's hidden from the "Everyone's pages" listing.
  • Your terms-of-use page (…/terms) is protected as well.

Setting it up

  1. Open "Password protection (limited access)" in the Settings tab.
  2. Enter a password (4–72 characters) and press "Enable protection".

Setting or changing the password is a paid plan (Pro) feature. Removing protection is available on any plan, at any time.

Managing your password

  • The password can't be displayed later, so keep a note of it somewhere safe.
  • You can change the password. When you do, visitors who had already unlocked your page will need to enter the new password again.
  • Leading or trailing spaces are not allowed.

Removing protection

Press "Remove protection" in the same place in the Settings tab, and your page goes back to being viewable by anyone with the URL.
