Protect your page with a password

With password protection, only people who know the password can view your public page. It's for when you want to hand out your URL but keep the page itself to your circle.

You can choose one of two protection scopes.

Whole page: locks the page itself (the original behavior).
Selected blocks only: keeps the page public and locks only the blocks you choose.

What a whole-page protected page looks like

Opening the page shows a password prompt instead of the content.
Only people who enter the correct password can see the page.
While protected, your page won't appear in search engines, and it's hidden from the "Everyone's pages" listing.
Your terms-of-use page (…/terms) is protected as well.

Setting it up

Open "Password protection (limited access)" in the Settings tab.
Choose the protection scope (whole page / selected blocks only).
Enter a password (4–72 characters) and press "Enable protection".

Locking only selected blocks

Choose "Selected blocks only" as the scope to hide just some blocks while your page stays public.

In the editor, open a block's pencil button and press the lock button to mark it as locked (you can mark as many blocks as you like).
In the Settings tab, set the protection scope to "Selected blocks only" and enable protection.
Press "Update" to republish your page and apply the change.

Visitors see a card saying "This block is protected with a password" where each locked block would be, and entering the password there reveals the locked blocks.

The page itself stays public, so it appears in search engines and the "Everyone's pages" listing as usual.
Locked event blocks are not shown in the events directory (/events).
Removing protection keeps the "locked" marks on your blocks. Re-enable protection and the same blocks are locked again.

Setting or changing the password is a paid plan (Pro) feature. Removing protection is available on any plan, at any time.

Managing your password

The password can't be displayed later, so keep a note of it somewhere safe.
You can change the password. When you do, visitors who had already unlocked your page will need to enter the new password again.
Leading or trailing spaces are not allowed.
