Writing a VRChat self-introduction for beginners
In the VRChat community, it's common to share an "intro card" or an intro page on your X (Twitter) profile or inside VRChat. A self-introduction helps people you've just met understand who you are, and makes it easier to connect with friends and events.
This article covers what to include in your self-introduction, and how to make an intro card and page with thamit.
What to include
You don't have to fill in everything — just the parts you can and want to share.
- Name and how to read it — If your name is hard to pronounce, adding a reading or romanization makes it easier for people to call you by name.
- Play environment — PCVR, Quest standalone, desktop, and so on. It helps conversations about how worlds and avatars look.
- Active hours — The days and times you usually log in. It makes it easier to meet people with a similar rhythm.
- Favorite things and worlds — Music, photography, world hopping, events... great conversation starters.
- OK / NG — Things you're fine with and things you'd rather avoid, like photos or friend requests. Writing them down up front puts everyone at ease.
- Social links — Adding X or other social accounts lets people stay in touch outside VRChat.
Start with an intro card
